Background About The Ministry
Prayer Is The Answer Ministry was started in 1998 as a prayer line. I hooked up another phone line in my home that was designated only for prayer. I was home at this time off from work due to an illness and I had to do something with my time. Well I knew the power of prayer so I decided to pray for those who were weak in their spirit.
In 2005 God gave me to go on the radio. My first station was out of Birmingham Al. I enjoyed this so much I added another station. I took on another station in St. Johns Mich. These were pre-recorded programs that aired once a week.
In March 2007 God blessed me to do my broadcast live on Internet and over a conference line. I did this for over 17 months.
Even though Prayer Is The Answer started out as ministering over the airways, I was always a blessing to the people of God naturally. In 2006 the ministry gave out school supplies in September to the children who were going back to school and we gave out 12 baskets with turkeys at Thanks-giving. In 2007 we bought the children coloring books and crayons at Easter.
In 2007 we bought more school supplies for 25 children. In 2007 we also gave baskets again to those who were less fortunate. All of these things were funded by Pastor Rorie and her Husband (Hayward). This is why it is so important to be a blessing to this ministry -- so that we may be a blessing to someone else.
June 1, 2008 God gave me to open my own church. I started this ministry with in the Fairmont Community Center in Lockport, Ill. God has really been blessing Prayer Is The Answer Ministry by leaps and bound.
Prayer Is The Answer Ministry is a ministry being built on prayer, faith and fasting. I don't want this to be another church. I want this to be a place of Hope. A place of Deliverance. A place of Love. A place where the sick will come to be Healed. A place where the oppressed will come to be delivered from the hands of the enemy. I want this to be a place where the spirit of the Lord is free.
